Geax Kimberly trip

Last weekend Aaron Larock, Brendan Howey, and myself embarked on a trip to our good friend Dustin Greenall's Jumps deep in the interior of BC close to the US border in a city Called Kimberly. Our objective was to film a new product Video for the newest Geax Tire the AKA. We got hooked up by dustins mom who works at the kimberly ski resort and gave us a massive condo for two nights so we could sleep well, Thanks again to her for that! We Shreded the jumps on saturday after we dug for an hour and a half getting rid of the snow, the sun was out the weather was unreal, and the jumps were drying up really well. On sunday the conditions were even better sun all day and the jumps were perfect right off the bat the footage Aaron took from both days is unreal the video should be out soon and i will post it up here as soon as it is!

It was an amazing 4 days Thanks to Ryan at Geax for making it happen !
cheers, Luke

Back to the island

Whistler was amazing this summer so many friends up their and so many good times had. Guiding was great this year got to coach a lot of cool people from allover the world defiantly a fun job for the summer. For on of the weeks when i was coaching Richie, and Wade had a big group foe the Schley freeride camps so I Got to be a guest coach for one of Richies adult freeride camps.

So i thought id give you guys an idea of what i do in a day in whistler this summer so im going to give you just that.

Wake up usually around 8:45 am to grab some food put my gear on and head to work 9:30 to 1:00 or 3:00 after a solid day of coaching ill usually go up and do one pinning it lap then back to my apartment right in the village get home at 4:00 and chill out eat some early dinner so i can ride more, for riding after food i would either grab my Cove std and go ride the mountain for some evening laps but if i didnt do that i would ride the creek jumps or Airdome. Whenever we rode the airdome almost always after we would ride just down from the dome to the water ski ramps and hop in there to cool off if we were not going to one of the lakes. Then every night was a great time no matter what i did!

Crankworx was also very fun saw tons of people and had a great time riding with everyone i was in the slolam on the first sunday but i was one off qualifying but i didnt plan on going in it until the night of practise so i was not expecting much. The Premier for Aaron Larocks movie Whats Next went off the friday night of crankworx and was the best night in my opinion I had so much fun and the movie was amazing.

Now i am back on the island, time to dig work and get learing some new stuff i am super stoked to be home and am looking foreward to working and shredding !

Cheers, Luke!

Fresh Air Weekend

This past weekend I was invited to jordies Fresh Air Comp and with it being at his moms new house 15 min drive from my house in Victoria i could not pass it up. A few friends from the mainland Eric Lawrenuk, Aggy, Danny Brody, and Brendan Howey came over on thrusday night and stayed at my house for the comp weekend. In order to ride in the comp i had to white out myself off the work schedual and write down that i worked last monday without anyone noticing and i some how pulled it off. The course was a lot different then most but Jordie is known to build differently and it was awesome being able to help him dig it and test it out. Everyone one was killing it so hard on comp day i would have to say Eric had the sickest trick with a 360 downside whip the riding was off the hook. definatley a very sick weekend the after party was
rediculous defiantly a weekend to remember. some snap shots of our bikes and our shenanigans below

Have a good one!

New Creations

Hey there everyone I am still recovering from surgery on my scaphoid, I got 3 weeks left before I can shred again but in the mean time I rented a john deere bobcat with tracks and have been digging in my yard with it. I couldent use my hand to dig so i thought i may aswell rent a machine. my good friends Brendan Howey, Eric Lawrenuk, and Graham Agassiz offerd to come over and help dig aswell but they used shovels while i drove the cat. The week they were here we had a blast dug lots took them to all the local spots had awesome burgers from my dad, substituted riding my bike for driving the machine which is quite fun i didnt even know how to use one before i rented it and within 15 minutes i knew everythign there was to know. I cant thank them enough for doing a lot of hard work. here are some photos of the jumps in progress and they are quite muddy right now it has rained hard the last two days. im hoping to finish them by the end of this month and eventually shoot them for a movie with Aaron Larock.

Wednesdayt,Thursday,Friday Beach time! Saturday=17 rollercoasters

Wednesday, thursday, and friday all we did is shop and go to the beach so nice down here i love it we all got our january tan on, and skim boarded the waves. It was weird going to the beach when its winter and it being warm enough to go in the ocean skimming, and a first for myself aswell.
Saturday was a different deal we all decided that we should go to six flags rollercoaster park
we hit up the gnarliest rollercoasters i have ever done some were just so crazy, and so scary I coulndt belive it. I will admit i was scared at the begining of the day but after 13 of the craziest rides i have ever been on I am pretty confident that i am not scared of roller coasters anymore. we are chilling our hotel now in Valencia California and are headed to professional bmxer Heath Pinter's trails in Riverside California tomorrow, and i hope i will get a rad shot or two from Harookz because i have always wanted to shoot with him!
Have a good one

California trip #1

Luke Fulton

Alright so I started off this trip by taking the 7 pm ferry of from Nanaimo to Vancouver. I was headed to Eric Lawrenuks house in North Vancouver and staying there with Graham Agassiz before we leave on Friday. On Friday morning we woke up at 9am, and met Jordie, Geoff, and Ross at the Cove bike shop at 10 am, we all tuned our bikes and I figured out my bike sponsor for next year now I will proudly be riding Cove Factory Bikes which I am super stoked on Dan Skogland is the new team manager and is on the ball I am very stoked to be working with him. Ok so once we got on the road we had to go get Harookz from surrey after we got a oil change in the blackbox van. Then we were off to the border, we got to the border got asked 50 questions by the super intimidating border guard and Ross was on it. We got over the border and then we had to stop twice in Washington at first Ross had to pickup his new video camera lens, then we had to drop Harookz off with Phil and Andy Saundbaum. After that we pinned it hard all the way through the night to LAX at 7 pm on Saturday to get Danny Brody after that we quickly grabed Kurt Sorge and headed straight to Woodward west got there at 1am and passed out in our rooms for a well deserved sleep.
The next morning(Sunday) we woke up at 9 am grabed a couple Gatorades and headed straight down to the hanger to shred. We had a very good session everyone was riding well right off the bat, I landed everything I wanted to do that day and was really stoked on it check the Vid of the clips at the bottom of the post. After riding we headed to the woodward restaurant for dinner then came back to the hotel for a fun round of drinking games with everyone then went to bed.
Monday morning we woke up a bit later all sore and tired from the day before once we all woke up we packed up and headed to breakfast at around 11 am and then headed to the hanger for another session. Ross filmed a lot on his video camera and I will have the video up asap. Today I learned a really cool trick as well a 360 1 hander to 1 foot can lander which I was pretty pumped on. After a good days shredding at Woodward again we drove into Tehachapi the town closest to Woodward ate some burritos then headed home for a good night sleep this time. there are a bunch of photos and a video below so check it out!
Have a good one!
