Summer time Sunshine

So over the last two weeks of July leading into the first weekend of august I have been on my bike a whole lot. First stop for me was Crankworx, its pretty much a religious event to attend, everyone I know is always there from my friends to my sponsors not many people in biking don't go. It is always one of the most fun weeks during summer.

I got a condo right in the village again this year with a couple close friends of mine Travis, and Dain we all mobbed up to whistler the Monday of Crankworx but on the way I had to stop at these go karts I always drive by just off the highway once you get off the ferry in Vancouver and dam they were badass go karts not the regular falling apart crap ones these were pretty legit.

Once we got to Whislter we set up our rooms for the week then I headed straight to the hill to meet up with Ross Measures for some evening laps on the first night in town...the first run i did was angry pirate to Crabapple hits and oh man I was pumped on the new jumps, they were so damn fun and the rest of the hill was pretty perfect as well because of the wet season its had so far, so that kept everything nice and tacky throughout the week.

After Whistler i was off to Kelowna about a 5 hour drive from there to meet up with another rad dude and good buddy of mine Dustin Greenall. I came up early for the event called Center Of Gravity check this out to see what its all about www.centerofgravity.ca . I Hit up Silver Star mountain bike park for a day aswell with James Doerfling, Noah Brousseau, brad mills the day before the event started. Silver Star was sick so many good trails and so little traffic all i can say is berms for daysss.

Tailwhip in the jungle

was testing out my new cove sanchez frame this week after work one night and my brother snapped a cool shot.

Jumpship !

For the past two weeks I have been helping Jordie Lunn build and put together Victorias first ever big jump comp dubed JumpShip. Along with the help from myself and other local homies such as Jarrett, Wink, Kona Jon, and Kody we all worked hard on getting the ramps ready for when the barge arrived on monday. The ramps were all done and loaded onto the barge with no time to spare before the dirt started rolling on.

On Thursday Howey, Fogel and, Christian Wright rolled over from the mainland for a pre comp shred at my house to warm up for the weekend.


The three day long event went off without a hitch Friday we had a solid practice session from 2 till 730 and on Friday. And on Saturday we had Tippie on the mic for our intro runs and best trick.

I had two really solid days of riding i got some good lines and was excited to see how it would go on Sunday in the finals. unfortunately on Saturday night in best trick I cased a three whip with my back tire and ended up slamming my shoulder on the hard packed flat bottom and was not able to ride in the finals, but i held it down in the beer gardens with Logan, Howey and the intern watching as the other riders slayed the course. In the end Brandon took the win and wink held it down for Victoria coming 7th props homie!

All in all this was an amazing way to kick off the summer. the jumps, friends, crowds, and the parties were all amazing and i am psyched for next year they have some bigg plans!

Winter has its ups!

Over January i have been getting out pretty much every weekend to ride. It has been a super awesome winter, riding in Victoria is solid its the warmest place in Canada during this season but yet we still whine about the cold haha.

I have been Filming with Aaron Larock and my brother Cole Fulton and Shooting photos with Mike Zinger and a couple other local photographers that are on the come up such as Robin Megson.

Night Light Session

Ever since I have had jumps at my house when i was a kid i always wanted to be able to light them up and ride them all night, and this past labor day weekend myself along with some very helpful friends made this dream a reality finally!

Howey Came over friday night, before the jam night also because it was his 19th birthday and I wanted him to have a banger one, and this is how the story begins...

I started out gathering as many extension cords, cord splitters, and flood lights as i could, then we hauled my generator out of the bike shed and down to my jumps with all the gear. The night before the session Dan Batchelor, Kona Jon, Howey and myself got the light setup pretty much dialed in making sure we had enough light on every lip, landing, and in between every jump so we had it ready for Saturday night

Satruday Night rolled around quite fast and everybody was itching to try the jumps out in the new light so at dusk the session began. The night came together quite well, we even had a speaker setup Dan threw on the power bar, so with some tunes running from my i pod, and bunch of friends to shred with went off with out a hitch!

Little Saturday Edit

Rad little edit Wink threw together from saturday. On saturday night i had a barbeque and set up a bunch of flood lights and generator down at my jumps so we could ride at night photos and video from that should be up shortly!

Crankworx 2010

Wow so Crankworx this year was unreal. I always have the best time when everyone from allover comes together in whistler. I have the most fun riding and killing it with all my buddies that i only see a couple times a year. Here are so cool photos I shot on my new digi cam!

This year me and some friends from home packed up and headed up on the saturday crankworx started. I got a rad place right in the village beside the 711 that by the end of the week was not the same to say the least haha.

I shot a video of my 5 favourite hits on the hill with my good friend Ross Measures that you can check out below.

Center of Gravity Festiva

Bud light lime had some babes that kept us some company on the roll in for a while



Party time after the last demo of the day!

So new to the event list for me this season is Center of Gravity in Kelowna BC. It is a big rad festival with daily Freestyle motocross demos, jet ski racing, bikini contests, beach volleyball, live performances and of course Mountain Biking, it was so far the best part of my summer so far! My good friend Dustin Greenall got me in it this year, he is one of the course builders/local shredders in kelowna I also stayed with him and his room mate Matt Gretzinger for the weekend and appreciate them putting up with me for 4 days. the Mountain bike course was right beside the metal to metal motto ramps with the FMXers putting us to shame after each one of our demos what those guys do is just nuts. check out some photos of how fun the Center of Gravity Festival really is below!

All in all Center of Gravity 2010 was killer and I am super stoked to come back for 2011 !

Goat Style!

Jarrett Moore, Wink Grant, Mike Zinger and myself headed out on the thursday before Goat Style Bike Jam. We drove straight there, got our hotel went up and checked the course out it looked really sick everything was in pretty good condition considering how hot it was everyday. We got riding on friday afternoon to get some practice,



before friday night Lights. Each one of us riders tried to put the best line together for qualifying i almost got mine but over rotated a 360 on the second run off of the whale tail and lost most of my speed for the first double, i was kinda choked but i had a lot of fun. check out some sick photos from Mike Zinger and Jason Headly below more riding photos coming soon...
